Tips for the Bride on Her Wedding Day
Tips for the Bride on Her Wedding Day
Your wedding day is a very memorable time, and it's just as important to feel good as it is to look good on your Big Day.
It's best to have everything organized before the wedding - including your dress and all accessories that you plan on wearing while saying your vows. After you have invested so much time and money into choosing the PERFECT gown, you want to make sure you don't forget a single piece.
Try to get these items ready the night before:
• Wedding Gown
• Special Undergarments (bra, panties, slip, hosiery)
• Garter
• Shoes
• Gloves
• Jewelry
See if you can rent a steamer for the day to have on hand in case anything gets wrinkled on the way to your wedding.
If you are doing your own make up, make sure to have the following items handy:
• Foundation
• Powder
• Eye Liner
• Lip Stick
• Lip Pencil
• Eye Shadow
• Eye Liner
• Mascara
• ... anything else
Packing these the night before and putting them into one bag will help to avoid any stresses the day of, and you won't have to worry about which items are where when you will have much more important things to worry about!
If you are having somebody else do your make up, call 24 hours before to confirm your appointment. Keep in mind - anything can happen, so always plan for the worst but expect the best!
Some other items that you will want to have pre-packed are:
• Curling Iron
• Curler
• Comb/Brush
• Hairspray
• Bobby Pins
• Hand-held mirror
• Nail Polish and File
These are good to have in case of bad weather or other conditions that are beyond our control.
Every bride should pack her “In case of emergency” pack - just in case. We recommend the following:
• Hanky
• Breath Mints
• Compact Mirror
• Safety Pin
• Toothbrush and Toothpaste
• Small needle and Thread Kit
• Extra Hosiery
Some brides like to wear a separate outfit for the reception - so make sure if you are going to dress in another outfit to bring everything along, including:
• Going away outfit
• Shoes and Hosiery
• Undergarments
• Accessories (jewelry, etc)
And if you are departing from the Reception to go on your honeymoon, make sure to double check all your suitcases a day or two before, and put them into a getaway car for after the reception.
Remember - enjoy your day and avoid any problems by checking, double checking and if needed, triple checking!
